Description
A vine of reduced vigor that can produce top wines for complexity and aromatic intensity. The Vespolina grapes are carefully selected, macerated for about 10 days at a controlled temperature. This is followed by a long stay in tanks and refinement in the bottle.
The result is a very pleasant red, with a bright color and intense aromas. Fresh and soft in the mouth, it shows elegance accompanied by excellent structure. Served at a temperature of 18-20 °C, it pairs very well with traditional Novara dishes with both red and white meats.
“Vespolina”, a native vine also known by the Latin name “vitis vinifera circumpadana”, which includes all the types defined as ughetta in the valleys of Vercelli, Novara, Alessandria and Oltrepò Pavese. An ancient vine always combined with Nebbiolo to whose blend it has always provided a valid contribution by giving color and softness.
