Description
Vine of reduced vigor which can produce wines at the top for complexity and aromatic intensity. The vespolina grapes are carefully selected, left to macerate for about 10 days at a controlled temperature. It follows a long stay in tanks and a refinement in oak barrels and then in the bottle.
The result is a red of great pleasure, bright color, intense aromas. Fresh and soft in the mouth, shows elegance accompanied by excellent structure. Served at a temperature of 18-20°C it goes very well with traditional Novarese dishes both with red and white meats.
“Vespolina”, an autochthonous vine also known under the Latin name “vitis vinifera circumpadana”, which includes all the types defined as ughetta in the valleys of Vercelli, Novara, Alessandria and Oltrepò Pavese. Ancient vine always paired with Nebbiolo grapes, whose blend has always provided a valid contribution giving color and softness.
